3 DAYS 3 LOOKS HAIYA BOKHARI

Natasha Saigol is a renowned, Lahore based hair stylist who has recently branched out into make-up as well. I’ve been going to Natasha for my haircuts and colour for a while now and can’t imagine ever switching to anyone else. She’s truly fantastic with hair, having learnt her trade from Tariq Amin initially and then going abroad frequently for her refresher courses. I decided to try out Natasha…

DEEPAK PERWANI FOR ZENIYA

My meeting with Deepak Perwani at the preview of Deepak Perwani for Zeniya Lawn was animated. I guess it’s never boring with Deepak… We spoke about practically everything fashion these days in addition to his plans with Zeniya which are not limited to Lawn only (excited?!?)

RUBAAIYAT BY MINI BINDRA

With a name inspired by the Rubaaiyat of Omer Khayyam, Rubaaiyat by Mini Bindra tries to capture the essence of Love in it’s collections. I am personally, quite excited about a foreign brand coming to Pakistan and that too perhaps the first Indian Brand ever. (AND before you guys launch off, there is no India complex happening here – it’s just GREAT for Fashion).

At SiddySays we love individual style. Of the hundreds of people who walked the PSFW 2014 Red Carpet, very few could truly be considered ‘original’ – Don’t get me wrong there was abundance of Pretty, Beautiful, Handsome, Well Dressed etc etc but only those who own the Red Carpet can be true Red Carpet Rockstars!

I officially have 150gbs of Fashion Week coverage in possession now. Technically that is enough to change the name of the blog from SiddySays to PSFW2014 however, in spirit of giving you the best of the best I have a series of posts planned out in the next week (till you have Fashion Week coming out of your noses practically lol) But there is so much fun stuff happening too. I’m posting about all that tonight hopefully also, but to satisfy my OCD here is my last and final highlights post concluding trusty ol’ Samsung’s coverage of the PSFW2014.

Continuing my series of ummm mobile phone camera chronicles, here are PSFW2014 Day3 Highlights.

The Day was loaded to the nth. To remind you, these are just small little recaps of all the images I have been taking with my phone. More content will ofcourse be following in the coming days (starting probably day after tomorrow) BUT in the mean time Day 3 was probably the most celebrity packed. To start with it was a Saturday night and you know how Lahoris LOVE their fashion/ entertainment. Long queues of cars at the gate and people at the door awaited with passes and invites given by khalas, phuphos, mamus, friends in fashion. Some people roamed the halls with their mobile phone cameras celebrity hunting (oh waitaminute that sounds like me) Teehee! Well I was wearing Elan ok! That makes me uber cool. Lol. So, anyway coming back to the show… I was late AS USUAL, But with a few GBs of pictures downloaded thanks to team Lotus, I should be able to start ranting anytime soon.

In the meantime enjoy PSFW2014 Day3 Highlights.

My Fashion Style Day3 was an Elan jumpsuit literally straight off the ramp. Since the first two days were skirts I thought it would be a good change and while all the pieces on the rack were delightful, this particular one jumped out to me. Perhaps the easiest fitting I’ve ever been to, it took exactly 10 mins to be over and done with. That of course is the joy of a well designed/ stitched outfit… the joy of wearing an Elan outfit.

FASHION WEEK STYLE DAY3

The Elan Art Struck jumpsuit I wore on Day 3 is a complete statement piece in itself which meant I could go easy on the hair and accessories. All the complimentary pieces therefore were simple, black no nonsense. Black patent sling back heels from Insignia (super comfy for such high heels and barring the replicas they’re stocking some of the shoes are really nice), simple black cuffs on both wrists, a plain black ring and black studs for the ears. I always find joy in wearing a well tailored piece. Your posture is automatically fixed, you walk tall, feel fine… That was the kind of day I had with the Elan Jumpsuit. A big shout out to Khadijah Shah, Creative Director Elan – THIS.IS.FABULOUS. Fashion Week Style
